Re: my work in progress
update, boy am I sick of individual track links...
Majic tracks they say, I was expecting them to jump out of the box and assemble themselves. As a stress buster i was able to assemble the Fruil tracks as well, (and my sanity prevailed).
so thats 120 links per run, every second one with a guide horn, plus spares. so there you have 492 links.

Re: my work in progress
Time for a bit of an update.
The diorama will also be featuring an sWS halftrack.
this is the old Italeri kit in progress

It will be depicted with one side and the back dropped down.
I wanted to show a vehicle that had been used and abused, with lots of wear in the rear tray.
I used the salt method to depict the wear in the tray.

the old kit shows it's age, so there are a few minor enhancements, such as the tie down cleats, but it's pretty much OOTB.

as you can see, it's still in its early stages. more updates shortly.

More progress
Here is the Berg-elefant in primer

This is the Dragon kit, with Eduard photoetch, It went together quite well
and here is the 3 colour camo patern. by this stage I have finished and installed the (majic) tracks

Work is also progressing on the Elefant.
here it is in primer, as you can see it required a fair amount of filling to get the edges off the photoetch zimmerit. this is also a Dragon kit, with eduard PE.

After the installation of the indy link tracs, the guide lines for the camo was drawn on using a chalk pencil

and finally the 2nd colour was applied for the camo scheme

I have made more progress since these pics were taken, I'll post when I get around to doing more photos

and the elefant as well

I'll call them finished for now, as they will still be getting a little blending once the diorama becomes a little more advanced

work in progress building update
I wasn't happy with the finish I originally had on the building, so I went back over it, then added my scratchbuilt accessories (the building fittings are mine, the furniture in the second picture is resin from Firestorm)

once again, I'll only call it finished for now, It still needs to be decorated in rubble etc. and I'll blend it in to the groundwork when it gets fitted up.
